Move-Out Cleaning Checklist in Tulsa: What’s Included

JD’s Gleam Team’s Move-In/Out Cleaning includes applicable routine and deep-clean tasks plus transition details: empty cabinet and drawer interiors, pantry shelves, closet areas, and blinds or shutters. Inside oven and refrigerator cleaning are separate paid add-ons. An empty or mostly cleared home gives the team the best access.

Use this checklist to plan a home or apartment handoff in Tulsa and surrounding communities. It reflects our Move-In/Out service; confirm any property-specific requirements before booking.

What is included in move-out cleaning?

The Move-In/Out checklist builds on Standard and Deep Cleaning and adds work made accessible during a property transition. Cabinets, drawers, shelves, and storage areas should be empty and accessible for interior cleaning.

Kitchen

  • Clean countertops, backsplash, sink, and stovetop surfaces.
  • Clean the microwave inside and out, plus appliance exterior surfaces in the regular kitchen scope.
  • Wipe cabinet fronts and handles; clean inside empty cabinets and drawers.
  • Clean pantry shelves and the pantry floor.
  • Clean the oven hood / vent exterior, doors and frames, baseboards, light switches, and door knobs.
  • Clean blinds or shutters and included window-frame detail.
  • Clean floors and remove routine trash.
  • Clean behind or beneath movable appliances only when they can be moved safely and the area is accessible.

Bathrooms

  • Clean sinks, counters, mirrors, toilets, routine shower and tub surfaces, shower doors, glass, and tracks.
  • Scrub bathroom tile and grout as included in the detailed checklist.
  • Clean doors and frames, baseboards, light switches, and door knobs.
  • Clean accessible empty bathroom cabinets, drawers, the medicine cabinet, and linen storage.
  • Clean blinds, floors, and routine trash areas.

Bedrooms and common areas

  • Dust the included surfaces and clean floors by vacuuming or mopping as appropriate.
  • Clean doors and frames, baseboards, window sills and frames, light switches, and door knobs.
  • Clean accessible closet or storage areas.
  • Clean blinds and remove routine trash.

These lists describe the scheduled cleaning scope, not repairs or a promise to reverse permanent stains, damage, or wear. Share unusual conditions and any additional requested tasks before the visit.

Cabinet interiors are included; oven and fridge interiors are add-ons

These distinctions are easy to miss when comparing move-out quotes:

  • Inside cabinets and drawers: included in Move-In/Out Cleaning when empty and accessible, along with pantry shelves and closet or storage areas.
  • Inside the oven and refrigerator: optional paid add-ons. Select them during booking if you need them.
  • Behind or beneath appliances: included only when the appliances can be moved safely and the area can be reached. Do not assume every appliance can be moved.
  • Vacuuming carpet and professional carpet cleaning: different services. If you need professional carpet cleaning, confirm that service separately.

Compare your landlord’s, buyer’s, or property manager’s checklist with the booked scope. Send over any special requirements early so there is time to confirm the work and any extra charges.

How to prepare for move-out cleaning

Before choosing the appointment

  1. Plan the order of work. Schedule after belongings have been removed and before the handoff or final walkthrough. If other work is still underway, coordinate it so the home is ready for cleaning.
  2. Choose the correct service and extras. Share the home’s square footage, current condition, and any appliance-interior cleaning you want.
  3. Confirm access and timing. Provide approved entry instructions and flag any access restrictions. Arrange for water and power to be available for the scheduled work.

Before the team arrives

  • Remove personal belongings, valuables, documents, and loose clutter.
  • Empty cabinets, drawers, pantry shelves, and closets that need interior cleaning.
  • If you add refrigerator cleaning, remove food and personal items before service; confirm any other appliance preparation requirements when booking.
  • Leave the floors and included areas accessible. If furniture or boxes will remain, discuss which spaces can be reached.
  • Identify special surfaces, fragile items, and any areas needing particular attention.

Before the property handoff

Allow time to review the completed work against the agreed scope. Keep your booking details and communicate any service concern promptly. Our cleaning FAQs explain the eligible 24-hour re-clean policy and cancellation terms.

Move-out, deep, or standard: which one fits?

Choose Standard Cleaning for routine upkeep in a maintained home. Choose Deep Cleaning when a lived-in home needs more detailed attention to buildup. Choose Move-In/Out Cleaning when the handoff requires interior cabinets, drawers, pantry shelves, closets, blinds, and other transition tasks.

A property can look fairly tidy and still need Move-In/Out Cleaning because those extra areas matter. See our side-by-side comparison of Standard, Deep, and Move-Out Cleaning before choosing.

How much does move-out cleaning cost in Tulsa?

JD’s Gleam Team’s Move-In/Out base price starts at $285 for homes of 1–749 sq. ft., before optional add-ons and applicable tax. A home of 1,500–1,799 sq. ft. has a $420 base price; a home of 2,100–2,399 sq. ft. has a $505 base price. These rates were checked October 1, 2026.

The base price depends on the square-footage band. Bedrooms and bathrooms are collected for planning rather than independently setting that base price. See the full Tulsa house cleaning price table, or enter your service and home size in the booking form to review your total.

Common move-out cleaning questions

Does the home have to be completely empty?

An empty or mostly cleared home is strongly preferred. Remaining belongings can limit access to floors, cabinets, closets, and detailed areas. Tell us what will remain so access and priorities can be discussed before the appointment.

Can the same service be used before moving in?

Yes. Move-in cleaning uses the transition-focused checklist to prepare a home before occupancy. Schedule after you receive access and before furniture and boxes arrive whenever possible.

How long will the cleaning take?

Timing depends on size, layout, condition, remaining belongings, access, and selected add-ons. Share those details and your handoff timing when scheduling so expectations can be set for the actual property.

Will a move-out cleaning guarantee my security deposit back?

A cleaning booking does not guarantee a deposit return. Confirm the property manager’s expectations and compare them with the agreed cleaning scope; repairs, damage, and other handoff requirements may need separate attention.
